The Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde King Wrinkle Black is an electronically adjustable slip-on exhaust for the Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Bobber Black (2017-2020, Euro 4 version). With a push of a button a valve inside the muffler closes, opens halfway or fully opens, giving you three sound modes: Dr. Jekill, Dynamic and Mr. Hyde.

It is street legal with ECE, EG-BE and TÜV approval and comes with a 4 year warranty. Finish: Wrinkle Black King slashcut silencer. The same exhaust part number (EP-142399) is also listed for the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster (2018-2020); we list it separately for each bike.

Key Specifications

How do the three sound modes work on the Bonneville Bobber?

You choose the mode with the weather-resistant mode switch on the handlebar, which flickers a red light when activated. In Dr. Jekill mode the valve stays closed for a quiet sound, Dynamic mode opens it halfway, and Mr. Hyde mode opens it fully for more power and sound. You can pick the mode that suits the moment, on the fly.

Is the King exhaust street legal?

Yes. Every Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde system contains a Smartbox, an electronic control unit that reads CANBUS signals from the motorcycle's ECU. Its software intervenes subtly and almost imperceptibly when the parameters set by legislation are reached, so the exhaust stays street legal in all riding modes. It is ECE, EG-BE and TÜV approved.

Which Bobber does this version fit?

This listing is the Euro 4 version for the Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Bobber Black (2017-2020), part number EP-142399. The 2017-2020 Euro 4 and 2021-2024 Euro 5 Bobber use different King systems, so check your model year before ordering.

How is it installed?

The exhaust comes with documentation and the brand publishes an instruction video for the King on the Bonneville Bobber and Speedmaster Euro 5 and older models. The brand recommends installation in a professional workshop so all components are fitted correctly and safely.
