Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde Urban Slashcut Wrinkle Black / Wrinkle Black Adjustable Exhaust for BMW R nineT (2017-2020)

Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde Urban Slashcut Wrinkle Black / Wrinkle Black Adjustable Exhaust for BMW R nineT (2017-2020) (EP-142119)

This is the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde Urban electronically adjustable exhaust for the BMW R nineT, model years 2017 to 2020, in the Slashcut design with a Wrinkle Black silencer sleeve and a Wrinkle Black end cap. It mounts in the low position and fits the R nineT, R nineT Pure and R nineT Racer in their factory lower exhaust configuration.

A valve inside the muffler gives you three sound modes at the push of a handlebar button: quiet Dr. Jekill, intermediate Dynamic and loud Mr. Hyde. The Urban was launched with European type approval for Euro 4 and Euro 5 R nineT models and carries a 4 year manufacturer warranty.

Key Specifications

How do the three sound modes work on the R nineT?

Push the handlebar button and a valve inside the muffler closes, opens halfway or opens fully. Closed gives the quiet Dr. Jekill mode for early mornings and residential streets, halfway gives the Dynamic mode, and fully open gives the deep Mr. Hyde mode for open roads. You choose the sound to suit the moment, on the fly.

Will the Urban Lower fit my R nineT variant?

It fits directly on the R nineT and R nineT Pure (2 seater, lower exhaust from the factory) and the R nineT Racer (1 seater, lower exhaust from the factory). If your bike has been converted to the other seat configuration, a BMW subframe is required (BMW part no. 18218564071 for 1 seater, 46518562978 for 2 seater). The R nineT Scrambler comes with an upper exhaust and does not take the Urban Lower without changes. This listing covers model years 2017 to 2020.

What does the Wrinkle Black / Wrinkle Black Slashcut finish look like?

The silencer sleeve is finished in Wrinkle Black and capped with a Wrinkle Black Slashcut end cap, so the exhaust becomes part of the classic R nineT look. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde offers the Urban in several sleeve and end cap combinations so you can match the exhaust to your bike.

Why choose a Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust?

Every exhaust is developed by the brand in the Netherlands with computer simulations, prototypes and extensive testing, built from materials sourced from trusted European suppliers, and backed by a 4 year warranty. The result is one exhaust that sounds like three.
