The Alpinestars Andes V4 Drystar Pants (Short Leg) are waterproof adventure touring textile pants with a fixed Drystar membrane, 450D polyfabric shell with ripstop reinforcements, a removable thermal liner and CE Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus knee armour. This is the short leg version, cut for riders with a shorter inside leg.
They suit riders who tour, commute and ride adventure bikes in mixed weather, with thigh vents for heat, a liner for cold mornings and A Class CE certification to EN 17092-4:2020.

Are the Andes V4 pants waterproof?
Yes. A fixed Drystar membrane makes them 100% waterproof and breathable, rated at 5000 mm, and the thigh vents close with waterproof coil zippers.
How do they handle heat and cold?
Elongated thigh vent openings bring in a high level of airflow on hot days. For cold weather, the removable thermal liner (100g thighs, 60g lower legs) adds warmth.
What protection do they offer?
Nucleon Flex Plus knee protectors certified to CE Level 1 (EN 1621-1:2012) are fitted, set in three-position internal pockets so you can adjust the height. The garment is CE certified to EN 17092-4:2020, A Class, and is compatible with Alpinestars Bioflex hip protectors, sold separately. Reflective inserts improve visibility in low light.
