The Caberg TOURMAX X is a 100% Made in Italy flip-up helmet and the updated successor to the popular TOURMAX. It carries dual ECE 22.06 P/J homologation, meaning you can legally ride with the chin guard fully open. The chin guard opening system has been redesigned to meet all ECE 22.06 P/J test requirements.

Built on Caberg's decades of experience as the first Italian manufacturer of flip-up helmets, the TOURMAX X suits touring and commuting riders who need versatility, ventilation, and integrated sun visor convenience in a single shell. It is available in three monochrome versions and the SARABE graphic version.

Key Specifications

ECE 22.06 P/J Dual Homologation

The TOURMAX X holds ECE 22.06 homologation in both P (closed chin guard) and J (open chin guard) configurations. A dedicated P/J lever on the left side of the helmet locks the chin guard in the fully open position, preventing accidental closure while riding. The helmet also passed ECE 22.06 tests with the Caberg Pro Speak Evo communication system installed.

Chin Guard and Peak System

When the chin guard is opened, the peak automatically moves flush with the visor to reduce air resistance. The peak can be removed entirely using the included screws, converting the TOURMAX X into a conventional flip-up helmet.

Double Visor Tech (DVT)

• Outer clear visor: anti-scratch and anti-fog with Pinlock lens included
• Inner sun visor: anti-scratch, operated by an easy-to-use slider
• Outer visor features a quick-release system for tool-free removal

Ventilation

Two wide vents are positioned on the chin guard and on the shell. Both are operable with gloves on. Air is channelled through grooves in the inner lining to circulate across the head.

Communication System Compatibility

The TOURMAX X has a dedicated housing for the Caberg Pro Speak Evo Bluetooth system. The Pro Speak Evo supports Bluetooth A2DP stereo audio, GPS connectivity, music streaming from a mobile or MP3 player, and rider-to-passenger intercom. The helmet passed ECE 22.06 tests with the Pro Speak Evo fitted.
