Shoei X-Fourteen MM93 Black Concept 2.0 Red Grey Helmet
The Shoei X-Fourteen is the brand's top-of-the-line full face racing helmet, developed through support at the world's highest-level road races including MotoGP. Every major component, including the shell, shield, interiors, and aerodynamic devices, has been redesigned to deliver race-level safety and performance. This MM93 Black Concept 2.0 Red Grey is a Marc Marquez replica graphic.
It suits track riders and sport bike riders who need a helmet built around a strongly leaning forward riding position. The X-Fourteen is certified to JIS and SNELL 2015 standards and is designed to reduce rider fatigue at high speed through improved aerodynamics and a purpose-built ventilation system.

AIM+ Shell Construction
The X-Fourteen uses Shoei's AIM+ shell structure, which combines complex layers of strong glass fiber and high-performance organic fiber in high elasticity. This construction exceeds the requirements of JIS and SNELL 2015 safety standards.
CWR-F Shield
The X-Fourteen is fitted with the newly developed CWR-F flat shield. Radius and thickness are individually tuned across different areas of the shield to maximize optical clarity. Made from polycarbonate, the CWR-F eliminates deflection and distortion at high speed. It is compatible with tear-off films for racing use. The QR-E shield base makes fitting and removal straightforward, and the variable axis double action mechanism maintains high airtightness across the full range of shield positions.
Adjustable Interior Position
The X-Fourteen interior can be set in two positions to match the rider's posture. Adjusting the fixing position of the center pad and cheek pad rotates the rider's head angle forward by approximately 4 degrees from the standard position. This secures upper vision when riding in a strongly leaning forward position, which is the primary design posture for this helmet.
Aerodynamics
The shell profile was developed using wind tunnel analysis, studying airflow from the front of the helmet through to the back of the rider's racing suit. Compared to its predecessor, the X-Fourteen reduces lift by 3%, drag by 10%, and yawing by 50% (values measured at Shoei's in-house wind tunnel facility). The rear stabilizer includes exchangeable rear flaps to suit different riding conditions, and a lower air spoiler is fitted to further improve aerodynamic performance and reduce rider fatigue.
Ventilation System
Air intakes are positioned at the front and upper areas of the helmet to maintain ventilation effectiveness even in a leaning forward riding position. Hot air exits through the top air outlet and through the inside of the rear stabilizer using negative pressure. The lower air intake splits airflow into two channels: the upper channel directs air to the inside of the shield to act as a defroster, and the lower channel directs air to the cheek area to clear heat and moisture.
E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick Release System)
The X-Fourteen includes Shoei's E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick Release System), which allows a third party to remove the helmet from an injured rider with minimal load on the neck. The system is activated by pulling a strip, making helmet removal easier in accident situations where the rider may have a neck injury.
Frequently Asked Questions
What safety certifications does the Shoei X-Fourteen hold?
The X-Fourteen is certified to JIS and SNELL 2015 standards.
What is the CWR-F shield?
The CWR-F is a flat polycarbonate shield with individually tuned radius and thickness across different areas for optical clarity and rigidity. It accepts tear-off films and uses the QR-E base for easy fitting and removal.
How does the interior position adjustment work?
The center pad and cheek pad fixing positions can be set in two steps. Moving to the forward position rotates the rider's head angle approximately 4 degrees forward from standard, improving upper vision in a leaning forward riding posture.
How much did aerodynamic performance improve over the previous model?
Compared to its predecessor, the X-Fourteen reduced lift by 3%, drag by 10%, and yawing by 50%, based on Shoei's in-house wind tunnel measurements.
What is E.Q.R.S.?
E.Q.R.S. stands for Emergency Quick Release System. It allows a third party to remove the helmet from an injured rider by pulling a strip, reducing the load on a potentially injured neck during removal.
What shell material does the X-Fourteen use?
It uses Shoei's AIM+ construction, which combines complex layers of strong glass fiber and high-performance organic fiber in high elasticity.
