Zard Stainless Steel Exhaust Header Decat for BMW R 1300 GS Adventure (2024-2028)
The Zard Stainless Steel Header Decat replaces the heavy stock catalyst section on the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure (2024-2028) with a handmade AISI 304 stainless steel header from Officine Italiane Zard. It weighs 2.5 kg, saving 3.7 kg over the stock part, and adds up to 6.4 hp when paired with a Zard slip-on.
This is the stainless steel version, which gives the same power gains as the titanium version at a lower price. It works with the standard BMW silencer or with Zard's homologated and racing slip-ons, and comes with the Healtech ESE-BM1 exhaust valve eliminator. A titanium version is also available as a separate listing.

How much power does the Zard header add to the R 1300 GS Adventure?
Up to 6.4 hp. Zard quotes +3 hp with the stock BMW silencer, +5.7 hp with the Zard homologated slip-on and +6.4 hp with the Zard racing slip-on, all compared with the standard decat. The gains are the same for the stainless steel and titanium versions.
How much weight does the stainless steel version save?
3.7 kg. The stainless steel Zard decat weighs 2.5 kg. The titanium version is lighter at 1.45 kg and saves 4.75 kg.
Will it trigger a warning light?
The included Healtech ESE-BM1 eliminator stops the ECU from logging the exhaust valve error and switching on the FI light. On E5 Plus bikes, the motorcycle may still flag a catalyst anomaly and show the CAT warning light, so an ECU remap is required to prevent it.
Can I use it with my stock exhaust?
Yes. The Zard header works with the standard BMW silencer or with Zard slip-ons. Pairing it with a Zard slip-on gives the full Zard sound and the highest power gain.
Is it road legal?
No. Zard states that this header decat is not homologated for road emissions, and it is intended for racing use.
